Erin Taylor - About

Hello, I am Erin Tayor.

I create illustrations that center on quiet magic, emotional connection, and the everyday moments where stories live. My work focuses on children as thoughtful, imaginative beings—readers, caretakers, and companions—whose inner worlds are just as vivid as the ones around them.

I’m drawn to scenes of shared experience: children reading together, small acts of kindness, bedtime rituals, and moments of care between characters. Whether working with human or animal protagonists, I aim to show relationships through gesture, expression, and pacing—allowing warmth, humor, and tenderness to guide the narrative.

Books and reading often appear in my work as catalysts for imagination and connection. I love illustrating the way stories spill beyond the page—how they spark curiosity, comfort, and a sense of belonging. Visually, I gravitate toward textured color, cozy interiors, and compositions that feel intimate and book-ready, balancing lively group scenes with quieter emotional beats.

My goal is to create illustrations that feel inviting and lived-in, images that support storytelling, reward close looking, and leave space for young readers to see themselves within the story.
